One System for Hands, Feet and Underarms
Not suitable for everyone. Please don't use Saalio® iontophoresis if you have a pacemaker or ICD, are pregnant, or have metal implants in the current path. See who shouldn't use it.
For those who experience hyperhidrosis in more than one area, finding an effective treatment can feel overwhelming. Saalio® uses tap water iontophoresis, a treatment backed by decades of clinical research, to gently interrupt the nerve signals that switch on your sweat glands. With consistent use, it provides long-term relief from excessive sweating in the treated areas, maintained with regular sessions.
The Saalio® 3-in-1 Iontophoresis System simplifies your routine by combining our hands, feet and underarm solutions into a single, comprehensive package. This professional-grade device offers a versatile, non-invasive approach to managing palmar, plantar and axillary hyperhidrosis from the comfort of your home.
It is drug-free and needle-free, and it should never be painful. Most people feel only a mild tingle, and you control the current throughout each session. Once you are past the initial phase, maintenance is typically once a week for 15 to 20 minutes, and some people can go weeks between sessions as their response builds over time.
Saalio® is a Class IIa medical device included in the ARTG (496206). Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

How Saalio® works.
Primary hyperhidrosis is thought to come from overactive nerves that switch on the sweat glands. It most often affects the hands, feet and underarms, and usually starts in childhood or the teens.
With Saalio®, a gentle current that you set passes through shallow tap water or water-soaked sponge pouches to the skin. It’s thought to calm the signal between the nerves and the sweat glands. Nothing is blocked and the glands themselves aren’t changed. With regular sessions, a first reduction in sweating is often noticed after 10 to 14 days. The effect is temporary and reversible, so maintenance sessions keep it going.
The Saalio® instructions for use cover technique, suitability and contraindications in full.
Instructions for use and guidesHands, feet and underarms.
Trays for hands and feet, and sponge pouches for underarms, all run from one control unit.

Hands
Your hands rest in shallow trays of tap water, just enough to wet your palms and the lower third of your fingers.

Feet
Your feet rest in the water-filled trays. Feet often need a slightly higher current than hands, because the skin is thicker.

Underarms
Sponge pouches soaked in tap water sit under each arm, damp but not dripping, with a flexible silicone electrode inside each one.
Two current types, set to your comfort.
Saalio® offers direct current (DC) and pulsed current (PC). Both are fully adjustable, so you can set a level that feels noticeable but never painful.
Always read the instructions for use.
Your treatment plan.
Regular sessions matter more than a high current. A treatment tracker makes it easy to log each session.
Getting started
A session at least every second day, each lasting at least 15 minutes per area. Start on direct current at 1 to 3 mA, treat hands and feet separately, and change the current direction regularly or use AUTO mode. A first reduction in sweating is often noticed after 10 to 14 days. Keep going until sweating is down to the level you want, which may take a further 3 to 4 weeks.
Maintenance
Ease into maintenance by adding rest days between sessions. Maintenance is typically once a week for 15 to 20 minutes, and some people can go weeks between treatments as their response builds over time.
The effect is temporary. If treatment is paused, sweating may gradually return, and resuming your routine typically restores results.
