Iontophoresis is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that uses a gentle electrical current passed through tap water. This process is believed to temporarily disrupt the signals between nerves and sweat glands, which significantly reduces sweat production in the treated areas. It's a clinically established treatment for moderate to severe hyperhidrosis, especially for the hands, feet, and underarms.

The technology is the same, but each set is specifically designed for different treatment areas.

• The Saalio® Hands & Feet (DE) Set uses water basins and foam inserts to treat palmar (hand) and plantar (foot) hyperhidrosis.
• The Saalio® Underarms (AX) Set uses soft, soaked sponge electrodes that fit comfortably in the underarm area to treat axillary (underarm) hyperhidrosis.
• We also offer a 3-in-1 System that includes all components to treat hands, feet, and underarms.

Saalio must not be used if any of the following apply:

• Pacemaker or implanted cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)
• Pregnancy
• Metal implants or conductive objects in the current path
• Metal-containing intrauterine device (relevant for foot treatments)
• Significant skin damage or open wounds that cannot be covered
• Cardiac arrhythmias
• Neurological conditions such as epilepsy or reduced sensation
• Malignant conditions in the treatment area
• Severe inflammation, thrombosis, or vascular disease

If there is any uncertainty, treatment should not begin until suitability is confirmed.

Saalio® iontophoresis devices may be used by children with caution and under adult supervision. For hands and feet, the treatment is suitable for children aged 6 years and older; for underarms, the minimum age is 12 years. Always supervise treatment carefully and consult your healthcare provider if you are unsure about suitability for your child.

Results can vary, but many people begin to notice a reduction in sweating within the first 10-14 days of consistent treatment. Significant and stable results are typically achieved within 3-4 weeks. Maintaining these results usually requires just 1-2 sessions per week.

Yes, tap water iontophoresis is considered a very safe treatment with minimal side effects when used correctly. The Saalio® device is designed for comfortable home use and includes features like a pulsed current mode for sensitive skin.

• Australia: Standard shipping is free on all orders. You can select Express Shipping for a flat rate of $10 AUD at checkout.
• New Zealand: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. For SudorGuard, standard shipping is $9.65 AUD. For Saalio® devices, standard shipping is $30 AUD. Express options are also available.

Orders for Saalio® iontophoresis devices shipped to New Zealand are sent from Australia.

For these orders, New Zealand Customs requires GST (15%) and any applicable customs processing fees to be paid at the border before delivery.

• These charges are assessed and collected by New Zealand Customs or NZ Post.
• GST and customs fees for Saalio device orders are not included in the product price or shipping cost at checkout.
• Any GST or customs charges imposed by New Zealand Customs on Saalio device imports are the responsibility of the recipient.

Lower-value items, such as SudorGuard, may be treated differently by New Zealand Customs depending on order value.

In-stock orders placed before 2:00 PM AEST are dispatched the same business day. Delivery times are approximately:

• Australia Standard: 2–8 business days
• Australia Express: 1–4 business days

We accept returns for unused devices in their original condition within 30 days of delivery. Due to hygiene regulations, SudorGuard® can only be returned if it is unopened and within 30 days of delivery. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Saalio® control units and main components are covered by a 4-year manufacturer warranty from the date of delivery. Wear components, such as foam inserts, and sponge pouches, are covered by a 1-year warranty as they naturally degrade with regular use.
