Advanced Iontophoresis for Palmar and Plantar Hyperhidrosis

Not suitable for everyone. Please don't use Saalio® iontophoresis if you have a pacemaker or ICD, are pregnant, or have metal implants in the current path. See who shouldn't use it.

Finding relief from palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis can truly enhance your everyday comfort and confidence. The Saalio® DE Set brings professional-grade sweat reduction to your home, with a solution designed for straightforward, independent use.

Saalio® uses tap water iontophoresis, a treatment backed by decades of clinical research, to gently interrupt the nerve signals that switch on your sweat glands. With regular sessions, this can significantly reduce perspiration in the treated areas, resulting in noticeably drier palms and soles. Nothing is blocked and the effect is reversible. With both hands and feet treated simultaneously and fully adjustable direct or pulsed current settings, you can tailor each session for optimal comfort, even on sensitive skin.

A first reduction is usually noticeable after 10 to 14 days. Once you are past the initial phase, maintenance is typically once a week for 15 to 20 minutes, and some people can go weeks between sessions as their response builds over time.

Take a confident step toward dryness, with clinical precision and noticeable results that support you through day to day activities, from handshakes to staying active on your feet.

Saalio® is a Class IIa medical device included in the ARTG (496206). Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

The device works perfectly and I always notice within the first week, I have less "episodes" with my sweating and when I do they don't last as long as they would normally. It's also been a game changer to realise I can treat my hand and feet at the same time! I do still struggle with the itching, so I only use a lower level on the device - normally around 9.

This has once again been the BEST customer service experience I've ever had, and it means so much to me how supportive and helpful you've been ☺️

How Saalio® works.

Primary hyperhidrosis is thought to come from overactive nerves that switch on the sweat glands. It most often affects the hands, feet and underarms, and usually starts in childhood or adolescence.

With Saalio®, a gentle current that you set passes through shallow tap water to the skin. It’s thought to calm the signal between the nerves and the sweat glands. Nothing is blocked and the glands themselves aren’t changed. With regular sessions, a first reduction in sweating is often noticed after 10 to 14 days. The effect is temporary and reversible, so maintenance sessions keep it going.

The Saalio® instructions for use cover technique, suitability and contraindications in full.

Hands

Your hands rest in shallow trays of tap water, just enough to wet your palms and the lower third of your fingers.

Feet

Your feet rest in the water-filled trays. Feet often need a slightly higher current than hands, because the skin is thicker.

Diagram comparing direct current, steady for the whole session, with pulsed current, delivered in short bursts

Two current types, set to your comfort.

Saalio® offers direct current (DC) and pulsed current (PC). Both are fully adjustable, so you can set a level that feels noticeable but never painful.

Direct current (DC)
Steady for the whole session. Based on experience it’s the more effective of the two, so it’s the recommended starting point.
Pulsed current (PC)
Short bursts that feel gentler, so higher levels can be tolerated. It’s usually less effective, so it suits sensitive skin, small hands and feet, or maintenance.
Start low
Begin your first session at 1 to 3 mA and increase gradually until you can feel it. It should never be painful.
AUTO mode
Switches the current direction during the session, so both sides are treated evenly.

Always read the instructions for use.

Your treatment plan.

Regular sessions matter more than a high current. A treatment tracker makes it easy to log each session.

Getting started

A session at least every second day, each lasting at least 15 minutes. Start on direct current at 1 to 3 mA, treat hands and feet separately, and change the current direction regularly or use AUTO mode. A first reduction in sweating is often noticed after 10 to 14 days. Keep going until sweating is down to the level you want, which may take a further 3 to 4 weeks.

Maintenance

Ease into maintenance by adding rest days between sessions. Maintenance is typically once a week for 15 to 20 minutes, and some people can go weeks between treatments as their response builds over time.

The effect is temporary. If treatment is paused, sweating may gradually return, and resuming your routine typically restores results.
